SMS Terms & Conditions
Program Description
Barton & Associates, Attorneys at Law (“we,” “us,” or “the Firm”) offers our clients the option to engage in SMS text messaging. By opting into our text messaging service, you agree to receive automated and manual text messages from us regarding your legal case, appointment reminders, updates, documentation requests and scheduling. Message frequency varies based on your activity and case needs.
User Opt-In
To receive text messages from Barton & Associates, you must provide your express written consent. This can be done by checking the opt-in box on our website contact forms, signing a retainer agreement with an SMS consent clause, or verbally authorizing our staff.
By checking the box or providing your phone number, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to consent to receive text messages at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any legal services.
Cost
Barton & Associates does not charge for our text messaging service. However, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Check your mobile plan for details.
Supported Carriers
Our text messaging service is available through most major mobile carriers. The wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to Opt-Out (Stop)
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. To stop receiving text messages from Barton & Associates, text STOP to our number in response to any message you receive. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you choose to opt back in.
How to Get Help (Help)
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program or need assistance, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more information, or you can contact our office directly at 210-500-0000 or Email us at Info@BartonLawOffice.com.
Privacy and Confidentiality
We value your privacy. Mobile information shared with Barton & Associates will not be shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All text message communications are subject to our Privacy Policy and comply with applicable attorney-client privilege and confidentiality regulations.
