While attending law school, Duane had the distinction of serving the Law Review and the Moot Court program for two years.  He was selected to the board of directors for both organizations, serving as an Articles Editor for the Law Review and participating as an advocate in numerous intraschool and interschool competitions, earning Best Brief and Second Advocate among multiple honorable distinctions.  Duane finished law school as a member of the Dean’s List, the Order of Barristers, and graduated ninth in his class.

As an undergraduate, Duane was also a member of the Dean’s List, as well as honorary math and history societies Kappa Mu Epsilon and Phi Alpha Theta.  Having a love of music and a background in singing, Duane continued doing so in college as a member of the ensemble New Edition, which traveled throughout Texas making public relation appearances for the university.

Licensed in state and federal court, Duane has twenty-six years of litigation experience in multiple areas, including an extensive focus on family and criminal law.  He has zealously represented countless clients, winning numerous jury trials and helping people return normalcy to their lives.  He has successfully argued and written multiple winning briefs on appeal.  While working as an attorney, Duane also taught law as an adjunct professor for five years.
