Jessica Gasca grew up in the Rio Grande Valley where she attended the University of Texas –Pan American, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Gasca began her legal career as a secretary at a bankruptcy law firm while attending college in 2007. Following graduation, she continued working in the legal field where she gained experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant and paralegal in a variety of fields such as bankruptcy, personal injury, employment law, family law and insurance defense. Jessica and her family moved to San Antonio in 2011.

Jessica Gasca attended the evening program at St. Mary’s School of Law and continued working full-time as a paralegal. During law school she volunteered for the San Antonio Children’s Shelter and Habitat for Humanity. She also studied one summer abroad with the St. Mary’s School of Law China Program where she learned about Chinese Business Law, Intellectual Property, International Human Rights and International Business. She graduated from law school in December 2020 during the height of the pandemic and completed her last two semesters via Zoom.

Since becoming licensed, Jessica has gained valuable experience across multiple areas of law, including insurance defense, personal injury, and family law. In July 2025, she brought her skills and dedication to Barton & Associates, where she has since assisted numerous clients in navigating challenging family law matters. Jessica’s work includes guiding clients through complex divorces, ensuring fair and equitable property divisions, advocating in child custody disputes, and securing appropriate child support arrangements and modifications. Known for her compassionate approach and strong advocacy, she is committed to protecting her clients’ rights and helping them achieve favorable outcomes during some of life’s most difficult transitions.
